Shown here are before and after pictures of the work that was completed at Saltlick Point Nature Preserve in Monroe County Illinois. The objective was to clear overgrown glade areas, allowing the sun in and stopping the encroachment of invasive species. Glades are very unique high quality ecosystems that support various species, this habitat type is not common in Illinois which makes management here even more important.
